Holistic festival of life and wellness

This is the largest holistic event in the entire state with over 50,000 members. This year, you can enjoy a day with your community and learning all about the holistic lifestyle with features such as:

  • A holistic vendor market with over 100 holistic vendors
  • 7 different one-hour workshops to help you learn how to embrace a holistic lifestyle
  • Stage performances featuring yoga, dance, culture, and music
  • 12 yoga classes
  • 6 hours of meditation classes offered by leading teachers in the state
  • 24 different speakers
  • Healing sessions
  • And more!

Taste of Dallas

This food and drink festival draws foodies from all over the nation. Enjoy 3 days of beer and wine gardens, cuisine from over 200 chefs from the Dallas area, and whiskey from around the globe. If you enjoy good food then this is the place to come sample food from Dallas neighborhoods. Who knows, maybe you’ll find your next favorite spot!

Texas black invitational rodeo

For over 30 years, some of the top cowboys and cowgirls from all over the state gather in one place for a 1-night event to compete for over $25,000 in prizes. This rodeo, featuring African American contestants, includes steer wrestling, ladies barrel racing, pony express relay race, and wild bull riding. This is a fun way to support the local African American Museum and help preserve African American history.

Asian festival

Bring the whole family to enjoy this free event with offerings such as cultural performances, vendor booths, authentic Asian cuisine, and more. One of the highlights of the festival is the performances from over 20 different Asian countries.

Birthright BBQ Fest

There’s no better way to celebrate Father’s Day than with some Texas barbecue! Enjoy live music and beer with your admission while you taste the work of some of the top barbecue experts from all over Texas:

DFW World Village Festival

This one-day free event features vendors from around the world. Learn about many different cultures through handmade items, tasty food, and local businesses. This educational event is open to the entire family and offers many different interactive features to showcase world art and culture.

Dallas Festival of Books and Ideas

Brought to you by several Dallas institutes, this 2-day festival features speakers from all over to ignite a love for creativity and learning. This free event features book signings, hands-on activities, and award-winning authors. Some of the highlights of this event include:

  • The Inspired City: Enjoy guest speakers and award-winning authors such as Oscar Casares, Kimberly Willis Holt, and Brian Jay Jones
  • Summer in the City: Includes authors such as Laura Numeroff, Melanie Benjamin, and Bill Minutaglio
  • The Literary City: A discussion on what makes a city a literary one. Features speaker Oscar Casares
  • Science in the City: Speaker Samantha Cheng will discuss how to harmonize the city
  • The Welcoming City: Features speaker Keven Ann Willey
  • The Physical City: Speaker Emi Kiyota will discuss the elderly population
